کتاب Mr. Mayor

کتاب صوتی Mr Mayor، داستان واقعی زندگی شهید مهدی باکری، یکی از فرمانده‌هان جنگ تحمیلی میان ایران و عراق است که به قلم داوود امیریان به رشته تحریر درآمده است.

امیریان در کتاب آقای شهردار Mr Mayor، مقاطع مختلفی از زندگی شهید مهدی باکری فرمانده لشکر عاشورا را تالیف کرده است. این اثر با همت انتشارات سوره مهر به زبان انگلیسی منتشر شده است. در کتاب Mr Mayor  ویژگی‌های بارز این فرمانده گرانقدر از نوع دوستی، دستگیری محرومان، رشادت‌ها و مدیریت او در دوران انقلاب و جنگ، روایت شده است. 

مهدی باکری در سال ۱۳۶۳ و در عملیات بدر به فیض عظیم شهادت نایل شد. 

 Feyzollah was watering the factory garden when he heard the guard near the door. He left the hose running in the garden and went toward the guard room. The guard, still holding the phone handset said, “Feyzollah, good news… your wife just delivered. Come on”.

Feyzollah ran to the house in one breath.

He got home when the relatives and acquaintances were waiting for him in the yard and room. He quickly greeted everyone and went upstairs to her wife’s bed, Aghdas. Aghdas feebly smiled and said hello with a feverish and sweating cheek. Feyzollah looked at the baby that was wrapped in robes and was innocently asleep. Feyzollah said, “Are you okay my dear?”

“Thanks, I’m fine. Congratulations, it’s a boy.”

Feyzollah kissed the red cheeks of the baby. “What will you name him?” asked Aghdas.

Mehdi… Mehdi.

Mehdi Bakeri was born in the Persian calendar year 1954, in Miandoab.

By entering university, a new stage of his scientific and political life began. He seriously stepped into political and revolutionary struggle in those same years. Reading Imam Khomeini’s Islamic Government, Velayat-e faqih, played an important role in developing his personality.
